"To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time.

Welcome to the World.... Emily Ann!

"Every good and perfect gift is from above...."James 1:17"

“Hush hush” said the moon. “Turn out the light… someone new sleeps with us tonight!” – unknown

Happiness is being a new Mommy! Julie glows and Emily Ann is content.

Backyard Residents

This family of ten baby Quail, with their mother and father, have taken up residence in our back yard. Unbelievably cute to watch. The mother closely guards them from the rear as the father leads the way across the yard. These pics were taken one week ago. Yesterday we watched as they learned to fly. Five of them flew over the fence in three different directions. Both mother and father called for about half an hour. Eventually they all found their way back home.

Remembering.....on Mother's Day

Beautiful flowers for Mother's Day from Jayme and James and Shannon and Christa. Thank you dear ones! and Happy Mother's Day to you, Jayme! You are such a good mom! What a joy for me to see you in your role as mother!
Mrs. Henry B. Lee (Tina) of Abercrombie, North Dakota....better known as Grandma Lee... How I loved to go and stay with her! I am such a good grandma today, because I had such wonderful grandmothers in my childhood.

Grandma Lee's Family.....Her mother, Mrs. Reno (on the right). Tina Reno is on the left in the back row. I hope that this mother, a pioneer woman, (my great-grandmother) got to rest on mother's day!

Four Generations - Great-Grandma, Grandma, Mommy and Shannon. May 1993. We were celebrating Shannon's 1st Birthday and mom flew out to be with us. I am so glad she said we must have a 4 - gen picture taken! Geneva Rogde, Elizabeth Van Nus, Jayme Collins Kaisi and baby Shannon!

Three Generations. Here we are in June of 1969 - Jayme was 8 1/2 months old. It was her first trip back to Minnesota to meet her Grandma Rogde....this wonderful mother of mine. My precious mother, Geneva Lee Rogde, was so beautiful and so loved. She is missed. We are so grateful for wonderful memories of mom as we celebrate Mother's Day!

Elsie Van Nus - my precious, loved and beautiful mother-in--law! We miss her!

Tribute to my mother...mother-in-law and grandmothers.

"When the summary of what makes her value "far above rubies" is given (in Prov. 31:30), it is her spiritual life only that is mentioned. One can almost hear the voice of Jesus saying, "Mary has chosen the good portion... which shall not be taken away from her" (Luke 10:42)."

Proverbs 31:10-31

A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.

11 Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.

12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.

13 She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.

14 She is like the merchant ships,
bringing her food from afar.

15 She gets up while it is still dark;
she provides food for her family
and portions for her servant girls.

16 She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.

17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.

18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.

19 In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.

20 She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.

21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.

22 She makes coverings for her bed;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.

23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.

24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.

25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.

26 She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

27 She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.

28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:

29 "Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all."

30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

31 Give her the reward she has earned,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

The Heavens Declare the Glory of God

"The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.
There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens, He has pitched a tent for the sun,
which is like a bridegroom coming forth from his pavilion,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is hidden from its heat." Psalm 19:1-6
