Ally's First Christmas

She is two and a half months old now.  She eats.  She sleeps.  And she is happy.  She seems to only cry when she is hungry.  She smiles A LOT!  And  her smile is contagious.  She plays and coos and loves to kick her legs and fling her arms and make funny noises.   And she has the entire household filled with joy over her!  Particularly her great grandparents who have just spent the past week with her.  It was heavenly!

Christmas....the real meaning

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you;  Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.  And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory  to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."

THE  MESSIAH

"And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, the mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.  Isaiash 9:6

He is Immanual....God with us!

We had the time of our lives at Women of Faith in Sacramento! In no particular order here are a few highlights of the trip......

These two cuties have been a part of the Tuesday Night Bible Study for a long time.  What fun to travel with them!

Juanita is packing up and loading the car the last day in Sacramento.  Thanks Vivian for driving my car!  And thanks to Stella we found our way around the town with great expertise.

My friend Vivian is such a dear!  What would I do without you as my roomie??? What would I do without you as my friend???   Love you!

Lunch break.....eat quick so we can go shop some more!!!

Two dynamic women of faith who made the weekend so special!  Elsie and Diane!   Sure do love you two!
It was very high energy and a fast-paced two days.  Among the stars:  Luci Swindoll, Lisa Harper, Kim Cash Tate, Sheila Walsh, Karen James....Mary Mary!  Mandissa!   We laughed.  We cried.  We danced with the music.  We loved it all.   Women of Faith has it all.  Can't wait to go back next year!

Heaven Sent

"Where did you come from, Ally, dear?
Out of the everywhere into the here.

Where did you get your eyes so blue?
Out of the sky as I came through.

Where did you get that little tear?
I found it waiting when I got here.

What makes your forehead so smooth and high?
A soft hand stroked it as I went by.

What makes your cheek like a warm white rose?
Something better than any one knows.

Whence that three-cornered smile of bliss?
Three angels gave me at once a kiss.

Where did you get that pearly ear?
God spoke, and it came out to hear.

Where did you get those arms and hands?
Love made itself into hooks and bands.

Feet, whence did you come, you darling things?
From the same box as the cherub's wings.

How did they all just come to be you?
God thought about me, and so I grew.

But how did you come to us, you dear?
God thought of you, and so I am here."
