The Weekend

has gone too fast!  Christina's baby shower yesterday-notice her big beautiful smile...it's contagious!  She is one of those people you like being around and want to spend time with.  Baby Izabella will be here soon....or rather, Izzy will be here soon.  Just a matter of weeks now.

The rest of the weekend flew by and I am trying to remember all I did, but I know it was a busy one.  Dutch is home (yay!!), church was good (Pastor Joe's sermons always speak right to me!) and Dan is here with us.  Dan, my North Dakota brother, has returned to California and will be living with us.  We are working on getting his room ready so he will have some privacy and his own little space, including his own patio.  In the meantime, just enjoying his company and together we have lots of memories to talk about and laugh over and find delight in!  Oh yes....I am also bringing him into the 21st century.  He now has an email account and tomorrow I will set him up on Facebook.  (Not that I am ever on Facebook.....maybe I will revive my account in the next few days.)   

Born Again

"Born Again" by Third Day was sung at the Evangel Home Banquet the other night.  Love it!  What a marvelous thought ...that God comes along and sings a song over you!  (zepahaniah 3:17)

Interesting Weekend



  And that means a good weekend.  Wedding yesterday was beautiful.  Good to be in the mountain air, away from the smog of the city.  Only an hour's drive away and yet feels like a different world.  What a delightful bride and groom......N & C, love your smiles! 


Not much free time for the Dutchman this weekend....but we made the best of it!  And it was sweet!

And James is in the air....on his way to Paris..........then Istanbul.......and on to Iraq.   His work does take him to the most interesting places!

Barely a week ago I was with the kids in Ogden.  I miss my time with them!  Shannon is so precious.....always has been, always will be.  Now it was so nice to get to know Cody a little better.  Yes, I really like him.  When we met over a year ago, we didn't have much time with him - now getting to know him a little better.  And fun to meet his family.
A lot of time was spent with Jayme.  And that could not have been more wonderful.  She is the best of daughters!  And we are good traveling companions.  Really miss her!  Maybe that's why we are on the phone together a gazillion times a day!

Happy Birthday to my brother!  The youngest of us all.  He has always been a good guy and someone I have enjoyed spending time with and growing up with.  I see in him a man of integrity and character.  I love my brother!

Just back home from Utah....

Jayme and I drove my car to Utah so I could give the car to my granddaughter.  Has a lot of miles on it but I love that car and it has a lot of life left in it.....so enjoy the car Shannon!
