It was a whirlwind trip - but mission accomplished. James got the job!
Wonderful describes the visit with James, Jayme and Shannon. Absolute joy having them here.Shannon grows more beautiful. Yet remains as sweet and unassuming as ever.
I long for more time with Jayme, this beautiful daughter of mine. She is the nicest person I know.....and she never changes. The time was so short and went by so quickly. We squeezed in friends, family, meals, games and lots of conversation. Then 5 o'clock this morning came far too soon and we said our good-byes. Planning a longer trip very soon!
Today is James' birthday and we will celebrate in a few days when he gets here. We cannot wait!
"And who is James?", you ask. James is our son-in-law. Married to our only daughter. Today he turns 50 years old! What can I say about James: He's a man of faith. He's a hunter and a fisherman. He's a reader and has wisdom. He's a great cook and loves to be in the kitchen. He's a good provider. He is a family man. We love this guy!
Outside the kitchen door nests this mama dove, right over the outside lights. She never seems to leave her nest. In the meantime, sitting on this patio at night can only be by candlelight!
