Happy Birthday James
"And who is James?", you ask. James is our son-in-law. Married to our only daughter. Today he turns 50 years old! What can I say about James: He's a man of faith. He's a hunter and a fisherman. He's a reader and has wisdom. He's a great cook and loves to be in the kitchen. He's a good provider. He is a family man. We love this guy!

Happy Anniversary James & Jayme!
May the Lord continue to bless your life together with His peace, His joy, and abundance of His amazing love. Happy Anniversary!
For great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. PSALM 117:2 NIV
My friend Samuel
Some things about my friend Samuel:

- He has grown so tall.
- He is a happy kid!
- He is very nice to everyone!
- He is a really good big brother to Noah.
- He is a very focused choreographer.
- He likes cars as much as he likes trucks.
- He is the kind of kid you want to hang out with!
- and on top of all that, he is so cute!

Shannon is coming for a visit!

Happy Anniversary!
"There is no more lovely, friendly and charming relationship, communion or company than a good marriage."
Martin Luther
Saturday, June 20th, was our 28th wedding anniversary. We celebrated by taking a trip to Lake Tahoe and then over to the Mendocino Coast. We had a blast!

Vacation continues.......

Lunch at Lattitudes on Lovers Point.
Char enjoying the sea air after lunch.
Fred & Ethyl Seagull.
We check into a nice room even though fireplace doesn't work. Doesn't bother us, the trade off is we can see the ocean from our patio.
Our patio opens right on to the cemetary and the deer wander right past us.

Charlene Enjoys Pacific Grove

Some carefree shopping at Miss Trawick's Garden Shop.
Followed by lunch upstairs at The Red House Cafe...quaint and lovely and just plain fun to eat there.
Menu decisions were not easy.
The Panini on brioche included bananas, chocolate and cream with berries. What a treat!
Char tops it off with a cup of coffee.

Season of work has ended!
Five Reasons I am glad the work is over for this season (not in any particular order):
1. Relief for my hands...they are so dry & peeling from the paper I handle every day.
2. Time! Now I will have time to read - study - clean house - lunch with friends.
3. I will now be able to walk in the cool of the early mornings.
4. I will remember and take time to feed the birds.
5. And this has to be number one....No more 5:00 a.m. mornings!!!
Four Reasons I enjoyed going to work every day (no particular order):
1. The structure and discipline of living by a schedule.
2. The nice people I worked with and a terrific boss named Nina.
3. Listening to my ipod all day long while I worked.
4. This really is #1: a paycheck!
